I wanted to share all that I could see, hear, and feel around me and my belief was that an artist could do that. If I were an artist I thought, I would automatically know how to express and explain the beauty and dimensions of my world. It seemed so easy but saying didnt make it so. I began to paint; studying and experimenting with canvas, paper, oils, acrylics, and watercolors in an effort to find the best way for me to express what I know and what I feel. I find the world such an exciting place, I want others to see what I see-- the essence of a simple object, the depth of color and dimensions of a landscape, the whimsy of everyday items standing side by side. This desire to share what I feel and see is a driving force with me. Moving a viewer to an emotional response through my words and painting is a powerful experience and leaves me with a desire to work harder and create even more. Ive worked for many years to perfect my art; only in recent times have I dared to call myself an artist and an author.
